 2. Interested in being confirmed? We will have a brief confirmation information session on Sun., Feb. 25, at 9:45 a.m.in the Chapel. Bishop Kevin Robertson will visit St. Aidan’s on Apr. 28 to confirm adults and youth. Any adult who would like to prepare for confirmation or reception into the Anglican Church, or who wants to learn more about what it means to confirm your faith, contact Rev. Becky at priest@staidansinthebeach.com.

3. 2024 Diocese of Toronto Social Justice Vestry Motion: This year’s Social Justice Vestry Motion addresses several of the key obstacles to the realization of the human right to housing in our province.  You may find the proposed motion, detailed background information, and other related resources at https://www.toronto.anglican.ca/diocesan-life/social-justice-advocacy/social-justice-vestry-motion/. We will present this motion for your consideration at our annual St. Aidan’s vestry meeting on Sun., Feb. 25.  An amendment to the motion will be proposed at the meeting and can be reviewed in advance at the link in notice #7. Printed copies available in the Narthex.

 4. Vestry meeting: Our annual vestry meeting will be on Sun., Feb. 25 after the 10:30 service. Lunch and childcare will be provided. 5. Lenten Contemplative Evening Service: On four Thursdays during the Season of Lent, we will offer a contemplative evening service of prayer and reflection, featuring acoustic and Taizé music (‘a prayerful form of music known for its simple yet rich and meditative character’). The services will take place at 7 p.m. in the Nave (main worship space) on these Thursdays: Feb. 29, Mar. 7, and Mar. 21. All are welcome.

 6. A Lenten Youth Bible Study will take place on Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30 p.m. on Zoom. Our first meeting will be Wed., Feb. 21. Please contact Elizabeth for more information.

 7. The Ecospirituality Group will meet on Wed., Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. in the Narthex (area just inside the front entry) at the church. We invite anyone with an interest in environmental stewardship, caring for creation, or connecting with God through time in nature to join us as we make plans for new activities in the months ahead.  8. 2023 Donation Tax Receipts: Receipts for your 2023 donations to St. Aidan's are being sent out this week.  If we have your email address on file, you will receive a printable electronic version of your tax receipt.  Please add donations@staidansinthebeach.com to your contact list to avoid the email going into your Spam/Junk folder, or check that folder if you do not see it in your Inbox.  If we do not have your email address, you will receive a printed copy of your receipt in the mail.  Thank you for your financial support!

  9. Strong Roots, New Season Update: On Sunday, February 4, the parish gathered after the 10:30 service to hear an update on the Strong Roots New Season campaign including a financial status report, progress to date on our five initiatives and plans to break ground on West Garden landscaping this spring.  A written report of the update can be found at https://www.strongrootsnewseason.com/project-updates.

10. The East End Refugee Committee is pleased to share that we have agreed to sponsor a Myanmar family of five, currently residing in India. Our family coordinator, in conversation with them, reports that they are looking forward to coming to Canada and could arrive within the next month or so. To learn more, contact Sue Stuart.

11. Beach Interfaith Outreach: Locations and dates are listed in the Beach Metro News. Tues., Feb. 27, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. is the next lunch here. As part of St. Aidan’s involvement in the Beach Interfaith Outreach Committee, we support the Grace Pascoe Care Centre. Your weekly donations (to the basket by the church office) are gratefully received.

12. The Snider Family invites you to join us for the wedding of Natalie Snider and Regis Iyumva on Sat., Feb. 24, at 7 p.m. here at St. Aidan’s.

13. The Rev. Jeff Nowers’ Celebration of New Ministry will be on Sun., Mar. 3, at 4 p.m. at Christ the King, Etobicoke.

14. Euchre: Join us on Tuesday nights from 7-9 p.m. for a fun and friendly evening of progressive Euchre downstairs in the main hall. Beginners welcome. $5.00 to play. All proceeds go to our community outreach.
