2. Parish Community Dinner

Everyone in the Beaches community is invited to share dinner at St. Aidan's on Thursday, October 27. Suggested donation for dinner is $5 per person or $15 per family. There will be programming for children; youth are invited to help with the children's activities. Costumes optional, prizes will be awarded! RSVP on the Events page at staidansinthebeach.com/events or via this link.  

3. Meditation           

Meditation is held in the church on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 8:15.This is a wonderful opportunity to join with others in cultivating the disciplines of stillness and silence. No experience necessary. All are welcome!  

4. Outreach & Advocacy Conference

The 2022 Outreach & Advocacy Conference will be held virtually on Saturday, October 29, 2022. We are pleased to announce that the Rt. Rev. Riscylla Shaw will be our keynote speaker. Registration is OPEN.  Please see the workshop descriptions and register here. Workshops: include: confronting colonial legacies; prisoners' justice issues; responding to homelessness and cultivating food sovereignty.  

5. Euchre

Join us on Tuesday nights, starting November 1st, for a fun and friendly evening of progressive Euchre downstairs in the main hall.  Beginners welcome.  $5.00 to play.  All proceeds go to St. Aidan’s Church community outreach.  

6. All Souls Evensong

All are invited to a join together for an evensong service celebrating the Feast of All Souls on the afternoon of Sunday, November 6th at 4:30 pm. We hope to see you there!  

7. Tap Donations

The tap donation device at the entrance to the nave is now active! Visitors can tap in denominations of $5, $10, $20 (and in combinations) to support St. Aidan’s. Note: like loose change/cash placed in the collection plate no tax receipts are provided for donations made this way.  

8. Refugee Update

The family is now expected to arrive on October 27. They will need warm outer wear when they arrive at the airport.  Warm jackets or bulky sweaters for the parents as well as a 3 year old girl and a 1 year old boy would be appreciated.  Please contact Sue Stuart if you can assist with this. 691-6869   Also we are still looking for a toaster, hand mixer, broom, dustpan, & swiffer.  

9. Holiday Craft Market December 3rd

We are pleased to be able to resume our annual Holiday Market in time for Christmas. Vendors wanted. Please contact daylesnider@gmail.com to arrange for a table.  

10. Food Bank Needs

Donations of non-perishable food items for the Grace Pascoe Care Centre food bank and the St. John’s Norway food pantry are always welcome. Please place them in the basket in the narthex. Note: empty egg cartons are needed once again.  Thank you!

11. Offerings - Your regular offerings support the mission and ministry of St Aidan's, and we thank you.   There are a variety of ways to make a donation:

PAG – set up monthly pre-authorized debits from your bank account directly to St. Aidan’s by completing the authorization form found on the Giving page of our website https://www.staidansinthebeach.com/giving 

PAG Changes – to  change the amount of an existing donation, send an email with the details to donations@staidansinthebeach.com

Envelopes to obtain a set of weekly offering envelopes, send a request to donations@staidansinthebeach.com
