2. Season of Creation / Blessing of Animals Sunday, October 2nd is the third of the four Sundays in the Season of Creation, this Sunday has the theme of "fauna". We will hold a Blessing of Animals at 3:00pm - outside the church main entrance. Bring any and all of your animal friends!  

3. Candidates Meet & Greet  The Beaches Interfaith Committee will host two candidate “meet and greet” events in early October in preparation for the municipal election on October 24. The first takes place here at St. Aidan’s on Sunday October 2nd from 1—2:45pm. Volunteers to assist with hosting duties are needed. If you are interested please contact johnfbrewin@gmail.com.  The second meeting is at Kimbourne Park United Church at 200 Wolverleigh Blvd. on October 6th, at 7:00pm.  

4. Meditation           

Meditation resumes in the church on Wednesday, Oct 5, at 7:30pm. We will continue to gather each Wednesday at that time. This is a wonderful opportunity to join with others in cultivating the disciplines of stillness and silence. No experience necessary. All are welcome!  

5. TipTap Tap Donations Are Active:

Out testing of tap donations within the church is now active! Visitors can tap in denominations of $5, $10, $20 (and in combinations) to support St. Aidan’s. Note: like loose change/cash placed in the collection plate no tax receipts are provided for donations made this way.  

6. Refugee Needs

The East End Refugee Committee (EERC) is expecting a new family on October 6. They are from Afghanistan and have been living in Malaysia. If you have any of the following you could donate, we would be grateful: toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board, hand mixer, scissors, knives, various sauce and roasting pans, broom, dustpan, swiffer,  vacuum, umbrella, kitchen table and  2 chairs, coffee table.   Please contact Sue Stuart 416-691-6869.  

7. Sunday Coffee Hour volunteers

Sunday Coffee Hour has resumed and we are looking for volunteers to host it week to week following the 10:30am service. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex. If you’d like to be involved in hosting coffee hour, please sign up for any week you’re available.

8. Schools renting space at St. Aidan’s  

Both Claremont School and The Cole Academy are renting space in our lower level during the week. They will be using our circular driveway on Queen St for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Please ensure that you are not blocking the driveway from 8-9 am and 3-4 pm, Monday-Friday. 

9. Holiday Craft Market December 3rd, 2022.

We are pleased to be able to resume our annual Holiday Market in time for Christmas. Vendors wanted. Please contact daylesnider@gmail.com to arrange for a table.  

10. Food Bank Needs

Donations of non-perishable food items for the Grace Pascoe Care Centre food bank and the St. John’s Norway food pantry are always welcome. Please place them in the basket in the narthex. Note: empty egg cartons are needed once again.  Thank you!

11. Offerings - Your regular offerings support the mission and ministry of St Aidan's, and we thank you.   There are a variety of ways to make a donation:

PAG – set up monthly pre-authorized debits from your bank account directly to St. Aidan’s by completing the authorization form found on the Giving page of our website https://www.staidansinthebeach.com/giving 

PAG Changes – to  change the amount of an existing donation, send an email with the details to donations@staidansinthebeach.com  E-transfer – send to donations@staidansinthebeach.com 

Envelopes to obtain a set of weekly offering envelopes, send a request to donations@staidansinthebeach.com
