2. Supper at St. Aidan's, Thursday, November 17, 5:45pm - 7:15pm

On Thursday, November 17 our parish is hosting our neighbours in the Beach for dinner and community building.  We hope you will join us, bring your friends and neighbours, and engage with newcomers at the dinner.  RSVP at this link, at staidansinthebeach.com/events or by phone to the church office.   We also need help with set up, dinner prep, clean up and more; to volunteer at one of our upcoming dinners, please sign up here.

3. Sofa Wanted

Our newcomer Afghan family will need a sofa in their new apartment. If anyone is downsizing and moving to a smaller place and willing to donate, or if you have one you no longer need, please call Sue Stuart 416-691-6869.

4. Meditation

Meditation is held in the church on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 8:15.This is a wonderful opportunity to join with others in cultivating the disciplines of stillness and silence. No experience necessary. All are welcome!

5. Lunch-and-Learn  You’re Invited!

All are welcome at our Lunch-and-Learn on Sunday, November 20th following the 10:30am service. Together we will begin to think about the role of music in worship, as well as congregational singing. This initiative is part of the Music Ministry Pilot Program which began last weekend with the All Souls’ Evensong. The success of the pilot program depends on YOUR involvement, so please join us for this exciting discussion!

6. Volunteers for Coffee Hour

We are looking for volunteers to host Coffee Hour. Hosting is easy!  We provide all the supplies, will give you detailed instructions and train you!  Bringing your own baked goods is optional. Sign up in the Narthex.

7. Parents’ Night Out … without Kids!

On Friday, November 25, St. Aidan’s is partnering with our neighbours at St. John’s Norway to offer parents an evening without kids. You are invited to drop off your kids (ages 4-17) at St. John’s - 470 Woodbine Ave. at Kingston Rd. - starting 5:00pm. Kids will be entertained until 9:00pm with board games, video games, movies and food. Parents get an evening to themselves!

8. Euchre

Join us on Tuesday nights at 7pm for a fun and friendly evening of progressive Euchre downstairs in the main hall.  Beginners welcome.  $5.00 to play.  All proceeds go to St. Aidan’s Church community outreach.

9. Kneeler Kits

Kneeler kits for the church have arrived - we are looking for donations/dedications and stitchers! As part of the building renewal project, we have undertaken to provide kneeler cushions for those who prefer to kneel for prayer.  We have bought 20 different cross-stitch kits from a supplier in England.  Completed kits will have a label on them with the name of the maker, and the donor, who can dedicate it if they wish.  The kits cost about $120 each and you can choose the pattern you wish to donate/dedicate.  We are also looking for about 6 more people to do the needle work. Instruction will be provided and we will set up  a time for stitchers to meet together regularly to work on their canvas if they wish - likely on Sundays after the 10:30 service.  If you are interested in donating/sponsoring or making a kit, or have a question, please send an email to the church office. 10. Holiday Craft Market December 3rd

CALLING ALL BAKERS! We are pleased to announce that 24 vendors have confirmed their participation in the market but the market will also include a BAKE SALE. So we are counting on contributions from parishioners to make this the huge success it has been in the past. Baked goods can be dropped off to the church between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. on the morning of Dec. 3rd. Save your take-out/fast food containers to be re-used. They are perfect for baked goods and ensure items like cookies don't get damaged!

11. Food Bank Needs

Donations of non-perishable food items for the Grace Pascoe Care Centre food bank and the St. John’s Norway food pantry are always welcome. Please place them in the basket in the narthex. Note: empty egg cartons are needed once again.  Thank you!
