On Thursday, January 19, we will once again host our neighbours in the Beach for a fun get-together and a hearty home-cooked Supper at St. Aidans! We hope you’ll join us, bring your friends and neighbours, and have a chance to hang out with other families in the church and community.  There’s no charge (donations are appreciated), and all are welcome!  If you’d like to volunteer at one of our upcoming dinners – to help with set up, clean up, cooking or helping with children’s activities –  we’d love to have you!  You can sign up here.  But more importantly, we hope to see you at Supper!  RSVP at this link or by phone to the church office at 416-691-2222.

3. Lenten Study: Four Big Questions  Who is God? Who is Jesus? Who are we? What is the new creation?

During Lent the Rev. Jeff Nowers will be facilitating four adult learning sessions that will tackle each of these questions. If you are interested in baptism or confirmation, or if you just want to deepen your own understanding of Christian faith, these sessions are for you! Please speak to Jeff for more information. He will be scheduling the sessions around the availability of those interested.

4. Week of Prayer for Christian Unity: January 18-25

Every year in January, various churches observe a week of prayer for Christian unity. This will be our focus on Sunday, January 22. The World Council of Churches has produced daily prayers and reflections for the week, which you can find on their website.

The Bishop’s Committee on Interfaith Ministry, co-chaired by the Rev. Jeff Nowers, is holding its first annual education initiative. The Zoom event will feature Guru Fatha Singh Khalsa (Sikh), Imam Abdul Hai Patel (Muslim), and Dr. Jennifer Bright (Buddhist) discussing together the importance and challenges of interfaith encounter from each of their own faith traditions. The Rev. Canon John Hill will be the discussion moderator.

6. Wednesday Meditation Has Resumed

Each Wednesday at 7:30pm the Rev. Jeff Nowers facilitates a time of silence for meditation. All are welcome. No experience in meditation necessary!
