Volunteers Needed for Shoveling Snow As we regain occupancy of the church we will be responsible for snow shoveling etc. If you can volunteer some time in the next few weeks please contact Amy at amy-ferguson@rogers.com 6. Epiphany Meditation Series Meditation takes place on Wednesday evenings, 7:30 to 8 pm, by Zoom. The link is here: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86535845519 Phone: 647-374-4685 Meeting ID: 865 3584 5519 The theme for this series is Epiphanies of God's Presence in All Things, and some simple instruction is given on using the silence to settle more deeply into the heart of God. All are welcome. 7. Black History Month and Weekly Calendar Through the month of February St Aidan's will be observing Black History Month, with special themes, music, speakers and reflections in our Sunday services. A small group has been planning this program, and we look forward to this way of centering and celebrating Black lives. We have also begun a weekly practice of celebrating a person of African descent who has made important contributions to Canadian existence. At the beginning of our Sunday services, we have a short acknowledgment of a significant figure followed by a special prayer. This is all in keeping with the social justice motion passed at our last annual vestry meeting to dismantle anti-Black racism in our church and in ourselves. For more information about this initiative, please contact Jeff Nowers: nowers416@gmail.com 8. Altar Guild Flowers and Aumbry Candle Once we are back in the church we are going to resume our donation programme for altar flowers and aumbry candles. If you would like to dedicate the flowers or candle for a particular Sunday the cost for flowers is $80 for one Sunday and the aumbry candle is $40 for a full month. Please contact Hian-Lie Liem at 416-706-3775 or at hian.lie.liem@gmail.com 9. Offerings Your regular offerings support the mission and ministry of St Aidan's, and we thank you.
