4. Clergy Info
Jeff Nowers has returned from vacation, but is isolating at home while he and his family recover from COVID. We are grateful that Marguerite Rea has graciously agreed to preach and preside on Sunday, August 7th. In a pastoral emergency please contact Marguerite at 647-524-8509.
5. Summer Study Series
We will be studying Debra Rienstra’s book Refugia Faith on Thursdays, August 11, 18, 25 , and on September 1st. As in previous years we’ll be gathering in different backyards for discussion. In her book and on her podcast, Rienstra develops the concept of refugia—the capacity of nature to develop places of protection and resilience in the face of catastrophe and crisis. She applies this to the life of the church in the 21st century. Please join us as we consider how St. Aidan’s can become a community of refugia faith. The first session on Thursday August 11 will be held at 104 Kingswood Road at 7:30 p.m.
6. Altar Flowers for August and September
There is one spot for a flower dedication in both August and September. If you are interested, the cost is $80 for the two vases. Please contact Hian-Lie Liem at 416-706-3775 or at hian.lie.liem@gmail.com.
