3. Service Videos on Website and YouTube
We are recording our Sunday morning service each week, for those unable to attend it live. Look for it on the church website here: https://www.staidansinthebeach.com/services/pages/virtual-services, or on YouTube by searching St Aidan's in the Beach Sunday Service.

4. Prayers for Bishop Michael Bedford-Jones: Saturday April 24
Bishop Michael Bedford-Jones was Rector at St Aidan's from 1983 to 1988, before becoming Dean in Kingston and then being elected Area Bishop in the Diocese of Toronto. He visited us at St Aidan's twice in recent years as guest preacher, following his retirement. He died on April 18th.
This Saturday April 24 at 5 pm we at St Aidan's will gather by Zoom to give thanks for Bishop Michael's life and ministry, and to pray for his family and loved ones, especially his wife Bonnie. All are welcome.

5. Meaningful Allyship Follow-up: Sunday April 25, 4 pm
Following on from Ben Reid-Howells and Natali Montilla's workshop, if you're interested in being part of our conversation on how we can be meaningful allies to indigenous people in our joint journey of reconciliation, please join us on Sunday afternoon April 25 at 4 pm by Zoom at this link:
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3204394907
Meeting ID: 320 439 4907
We will be identifying some concrete steps that we can take. You do not need to have attended the workshop to take part in this follow-up.

6. Books, Magazines Needed for Encampments
As St Aidan's has been bringing meals to those living in city encampments, we asked if anything else was wanted, and the reply was that novels, magazines (sports included), art colouring books and pencil crayons would be much appreciated by some. If you are able to contribute any of the above, please bring them to Valear Howsam, our encampment visitor, at her home: 326 Kenilworth Ave.

7. Guest Speakers for FaithWorks: Sunday May 2
In May we will be focusing on FaithWorks, the diocesan body that supports many forms of outreach both locally and further afield. One of the organizations that receives funding from FaithWorks is AURA (Anglican United Refugee Alliance), and two board members will be speaking at our service on May 2. Please join us to welcome Nadia Heyd and Sandra Seaborn, who will speak to us about refugee work, and stay for coffee-hour for Q&A.
If you would like to consider making a donation to FaithWorks, details are here: https://faithworks.ca/donating-to-faithworks/

8. AURA Fundraiser for Refugees
AURA (Anglican United Refugee Alliance) is partnering this spring with Plantables as a fundraiser. If you are looking for ways to be healthy, avoid potentially busy greenhouses, and become more self-reliant, you can order garden-ready plants. They cost $4 each and will be shipped to your home directly on the date of your choosing anywhere in Ontario or Quebec. 10% of your purchase will help AURA continue to support refugees.  Here is the link:

9. Episcopal Restructuring Report
In June of 2020 Bishop Andrew Asbil announced the formation of the Episcopal Leadership Working Group (the ELWG) with a mandate to consider and report to him on alternative models for the exercise of episcopal leadership, oversight, and pastoral ministry within the Diocese of Toronto. The report has now been released, and town hall meetings are scheduled in May to discuss it. To read the report, watch a video by Bishop Andrew, and register for a town hall meeting, please go to:
